Granulation Tissue
The presence of the classical "shiny, beefy, red" granulation tissue denotes healing progress and is a healthy sign. Warning signs to look for in the granulating wound bed are gray or purple colorization, indicating an inadequate blood supply.
Granulation tissue is "red" in color.
