BIOCLUSIVE™ Transparent Dressings are made from thin, transparent polyurethane film that can be used on Wound Care and Access Devices.

Wound Care

Incisions, Skin Biopsies, Donor Sites, Second-Degree Burns and Surgical Incisions.

• Provides a moist wound-healing environment^{102, 103, 105}
• Minimizes skin irritation^{102, 103, 105}
• Protects site from external contamination^{102, 103, 105}
• Helps protect fragile tissue^{102, 103, 105}

Access Devices

Peripheral IVs, Central Venous Catheters, CVPs and Neonatal IVs.

• Helps secure catheters, reducing mechanical irritation
• Bacterial/viral barrier

These semi-occlusive dressings provide a bacterial/viral barrier, allow oxygen vapor transfer, permit continuous observation, and feature "easy stretch" removal which helps reduce skin irritation.

Indications

BIOCLUSIVE™ Transparent Dressings are indicated for the following^{102, 103, 105}:

• General wound care
• Skin Biopsies
• Donor Sites
• Second-Degree Burns
• Surgical Incisions
• Peripheral IV's
• Central Venous Catheters
• CVP's
• Neonatal IV's

Precaution

As transparent film dressings are unable to cope with large amounts of exudates they may cause maceration of the skin if used injudiciously^{104, 105}

How to use

For your convenience, a label is provided with BIOCLUSIVE™ for application on the dressing or patient's chart.

Three-Tab Delivery

Easy Stretch Removal

To remove, lift rounded corners and stretch out in the directon of hair growth. As the film stretches, it turns opaque and the adhesive releases, helping to reduce hair pulling and trauma to the skin.

Package insert

• Ensure site is clean and dry.
• Remove center backing liner (see diagram 1).
• Apply dressing over site. One at a time, peel away side backing papers while smoothing film onto skin (see diagram 2).

Do not resterilize.
Do not use if individual pack damaged/opened.
The use by date of this product is printed on the packaging.
